Vincontrol Delivers Speech At The World Cashew Conference 2022

Recently, the World Cashew Conference 2022 was held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from February 16 to 18, 2022 with the participation of representatives of countries, associations, and enterprises in the cashew industry from all over the world.

Representative of Vinacontrol Group, Mr. Bach Khanh Nhut - General Director of Vinacontrol Ho Chi Minh City, and Head of the Inspection Committee of Vietnam Cashew Association gave a speech at the conference. The speech was focused on the main issues of raw cashews imported from Europe Africa to Vietnam in 2021 and the forecast of the 2022 cashew crop in Cambodia and Vietnam. The presentation received attention and appreciation from the conference participants.

After 30 years, from a country exporting raw cashew nuts in small quantities, Vietnam has become the leading exporter of cashew kernels in the world. Now, Vietnam has exported cashew kernels to more than 90 countries and territories, accounting for about 80% of the world's cashew kernel exports. 2021 is considered a successful year for Vietnam's cashew exports with the export volume reaching 579,800 tons, worth 3.64 billion USD, up 12.6% in quantities and 13.3% in value prices compared to 2020.

Free trade agreements that come into effect (such as EVFTA, UKVFTA, and CPTPP) will certainly create conditions and opportunities for Vietnamese products to enter the markets of Europe, the US, China, etc. Therefore, the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development continues to set an export growth target for the cashew industry of $3.8 billion in 2022.
