Textile Product Certification Process
Case 1: Conformity certification process for imported textile products (Certification under Method 7)
- Step 1: Certification Registration: The client provides product specifications and corporate information to Vinacontrol via the official registration form.
- Step 2: Completion of Customs Release Dossier: Upon registration, Vinacontrol provides the necessary documentation. The client completes the dossier and submits it to Customs to request conditional customs release (allowing goods to be moved to their warehouse, where applicable).
- Step 3: Consignment Assessment and Sample Collection: Vinacontrol conducts an on-site assessment of the consignment and draws samples for testing at the port or at the client's warehouse (if conditional release is granted).
- Step 4: Issuance of Certificate of Conformity: Upon receipt of compliant test results and verification of the dossier, Vinacontrol issues the Certificate of Conformity to the client. The client then submits the complete import dossier to Customs to obtain final customs clearance.
- Step 5: Registration of Declaration of Conformity at DOIT: Following certification, the client registers the declaration of conformity with the local Department of Industry and Trade (DOIT). Vinacontrol provides step-by-step guidance through this procedure.
Case 2: Conformity certification process for domestically manufactured textile products (Certification under Method 5)
- Step 1: Certification Registration: The client provides product specifications and corporate information to Vinacontrol via the official registration form.
- Step 2: Contract Execution and Quotation: The parties execute the contract and finalize the service quotation.
- Step 3: Quality Assurance System Guidance: If the client lacks a formal Quality Assurance (QA) system, Vinacontrol provides technical guidance for setup (this step is bypassed if the client already maintains a QA system or an ISO 9001 certification).
- Step 4: On-Site Factory Audit and Sampling: Vinacontrol conducts an audit of the manufacturing process at the factory for compliance with QCVN 01:2017/BCT and collects representative samples for testing. Vinacontrol sends required document lists in advance to facilitate audit preparation.
- Step 5: Issuance of Certificate of Conformity: Upon satisfactory testing results and review of the audit dossier, Vinacontrol issues the Certificate of Conformity for the textile products.
- Step 6: Registration of Declaration of Conformity at DOIT: Following certification, the client registers the declaration of conformity with the Department of Industry and Trade (DOIT), with guidance provided by Vinacontrol.
- Step 7: Surveillance Audits: During the 3-year validity period of the Certificate of Conformity, Vinacontrol performs two annual surveillance audits in the subsequent two years.
