EU amends a series of regulations on imported food

Specifically, the EU revised regulation on maximum residue levels for flutianil in and on certain products.
On 7 April 2022, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2022/566 amending annex II to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 regarding maximum residue levels for flutianil in or on certain products such as fresh and frozen fruits and nuts; fresh and frozen vegetables; oils and oily fruits; tea, coffee, herbs, and cocoa; kinds of spice; products of animal origin.
On 12 April 2022, the EU issued Regulation No (EU) 2022/617 amending regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 on maximum mercury levels in fish and salt. Accordingly, the mercury in fish ranges is from 0.3 to 1.0 and in salt is at 0.10 – depending on the type of fish.
On 13 April 2022, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2022/634 amending Regulation (EU) 37/2010 concerning the classification of bambermycin and its maximum residue limits in food products having animal origin.
On 20 April 2022, the European Commission issued Regulation No (EU) 2022/650 amending the Annex to Regulation (EU) 231/2012 providing specifications for additives foods are listed in Annexes II and III of Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 concerning specifications for sodium diacetate (E262).
These are the regulations that enterprises exporting food to the EU need to grasp to ensure the effective maintenance of their business operations.
